What is wrong?
Herpes zoster occurs when a dormant herpes zoster virus that causes chicken pox,'' wake up'' again in the nerve cells and found their way to the skin. Approximately, 20% of people who are preležale chicken pox in childhood, in adulthood will get herpes zoster (commonly occurs above the 50-year life). The infection causes a rash with blisters that really burns - often on the trunk, face and neck, and occurs in the form of strips or fields the raised dots. Itching, tingling and pain may be weak or strong, which is again individually. After about a week to form small blisters filled with fluid, and dried over them creates scabs. Anything that reduces resistance to infection with the virus can awaken. Rashes and pain last for about 2-4 weeks, but the pain (postherpetic neuralgia) may last for months.
